Charity and Politics

Clarence frequently gave to charities, showing up to their events, and helped fans in need. Some charities include: NAACP and Mt. Sinai Hospital.


During WWII, Clarence became a member of the Victory Committee and entertained troops at hospitals and military bases.


In the late 1930s, Clarence wrote in the California Eagle, offering political and social commentary on the times.


When he decreased his acting roles, he participated in various local civic functions including being a founding member of Perris Historical Society.
